Where trees dotted the terrain with scratchy pine or leafy oak, the Fae walked through the brush. The ground underfoot began to grow soft and tender as she went forward, and that small sign was proof enough that she was nearing the Barrows. Though the Alpha could tell where she was with only sight and smell, but touch was also another sense that allowed her to feel the world around her.
The snow had almost melted all the way, and only a few patches of white painted around the damp grass and dirt. For this the wolf was grateful, for Spring brought great things. The snow melted, which allowed her to be more secluded in the dark forest, he black pelt fitting in more naturally with the environment. And of course, the coming of Spring brought more prey and pups, which meant that the wolf bloodline would continue.
Ebony broke through the trees and into the opening which housed the many small hills and high dirt mounds, which was easy to dig out for dens. And the Shinook wolves took advantage of the soft soil and used the barrows for homes. This is where the Alpha kept her pack, for it was the spot where Shinook had first started so many years ago. The Fae had come here for a reason though, for if there were no reason she would be out hunting small game. The dark wolf went straight to her den and she leaped onto the dirt mound it was created from. With a long, loud howl, Ebony called forth all of her pack mates for a meeting.

From her den, Koule looked up. She was a very two sided wolf. She had almost no set personality and could change with a breeze. At the moment she was feeling happy though, and when she saw Fae, she stood up and walked toward her. Spring was coming, and that might have had something to do with her good mood, but you never could tell with. The medic sat down in frount of the alpha and waited fir her to speak.
The ground was slightly cool under her paws, but it was no longer as cold has it was in the winter. The snow was melting and The air was wet. Koule breathed in deeply, welcoming the change in seasons. Spring was one of her favorite seasons. It was tied with fall.

The black Fae looked dawn with her sapphire eyes, hers narrowing when she saw that only Koule had arrived. Ebony knew that Tarak was not in the position to attend, but there was still another wolf that should have been there. With a sigh the Alpha looked around the dirt mounds and trees, but seeing no other sign of life.
"So I guess it's just you , then." she murmured, her blue eyes twitching back to Koule's figure. The wolf skittered across the mound she was on before leaping back down to the flat surface. Ebony approached her Medic, but then sat down a few fox lengths away.
"Do you know why I summoned you here? Do you have the slightest idea of what has been happening?" she asked, her voice low as if someone could be overhearing their conversation.

"Do you know why I summoned you here? Do you have the slightest idea of what has been happening?"
Koule gazed at her alpha and promptly told her "If you are talking about the Takar Tarak thing then yes. If not, no" Koule was feeling straight forward and was being so. So days she felt like being complicated, but this was not one of them. Metling water dripped around her and she sniffed the air. She waited for her alpha's reply.

The Alpha nodded slightly, "Yes, they are to fight, aren't they?" she murmured, though she did not reveal the reason as to how she knew this. Though she had spoken to Tarak before he left, she was still uncertain that he had left with the intention to kill his brother. Though somehow she still knew that Tarak may not be coming back this time, or that he will, but with the blood of his kin caked upon him. The one with his name half-back wards.
"Tell me, Koule," Ebony murmured, her eyes flashing back to her form. "Do you know the stories of how Shinook came to be?" her black brow quirked above her in question.

"Do you know the stories of how Shinook came to be?"
"Why, yes," Koule told her. Koule shifted her position before telling her alpha what she knew. "I believe the story goes that a nasty, evil wolf named Fenris, who made this pack but force, killing those who would not join." Koule frowned at this point. She disliked Fenris. He caused a lot of harm. "The other packs formed in response to his killing." She finshed for Ebony. She waited for a responce from her and shifted again.

Ebony nodded her head, her ice-blue eyes closing as if in grief. She knew all too well about the story of Shinook and how all of the packs came to be.
"I never told anyone because I never thought that something like this would happen again, but now I think it's time for everyone to know." Ebony positioned herself and fidgeted slightly. It was certainly a first for the Alpha, for she was almost never nervous. "You all never knew my parents, for they had died before I had even joined this pack. But you would be surprised to know, that I am a direct descendant of Fenris." Ebony looked quickly to Koule, searching her expression. The Fae's usually cold eyes looked soft and vulnerable.
Ebony shook her head and sighed loudly. "I've always known about my heritage, always known that I had come from such a deplorable wolf... though I tired to make-up for my heritage by leading this pack in the right way. Shinook was his pack, and now I, his distant daughter, am trying to do things differently. I am not power hungry like my anscestor, I hope you know, and maybe my actions in the past are enough proof to show that I do not intend to harm this pack.
"These eyes are his eyes, and this fur is his fur." The Fae looked to Koule, who was hopefully not too scared to move, and stared her down with the exact eyes she was talking about. "His 'Sapphire Sight' is what they used to call it, and I have the exact shade of ice-blue as he did. Whenever you see these eyes on a wolf, you automatically know that they come from evil.
"I know that you may not trust me after hearing this, but I want you to believe me when I say that... If you ever see these eyes from anyone but myself, you are to run." Ebony looked to her Medic, her dangerous eyes pleading with her to understand.

At last, after a long journey to find another pack, Ruedi stopped on the Shinook grounds and breathed in fresh spring air and the mixture of other scents of other wolves. The howl he had heard must've led him there outo f curiousity. And finally, his time had come to ask the alpha's or alpha of this pack if he could join. His round ears flattend against his head and quickly had risen up again. He could hear two other wolves, lucky him, he thought. They were speaking amongst each other, and he thought it wouldn't be so bad to drop in and see what the chatter was about. A hunt, maybe? It did sound like a rallying howl for a hunt, but that was on the bottom of his list of what was probably going on. He approached from a distance and seen two females. A black one and a white one. The black femme must be the alpha... he thought as he sat down and watched closely from a distance. The black one seemed to be grieving about something inparticular. She also seemed disappointed. Ruedi suddenly rose up and approached. "I'm sorry to intrude, miss, but I couldn't help but see you are upset," he cooed to the stranger wolf, not at all paying attention to the other female.

"I'm sorry to intrude, miss, but I couldn't help but see you are upset,"
The alien voice caused the hair on the back of Ebony's neck to rise, and her fur pricked up along the ridge of her back. Her expression changed almost instantly, and her temporarily soft eyes hardened and cooled until acidic. The Alpha spun around, her chops curled over her bared teeth, and a territorial growl rumbling from deep inside her chest. The sight was surely terrifying.
"Who are you, and what are you doing here?" She all but roared, and the Fae certainly looked so much like the dark tyrant she was related to. Her posture relaxed slightly as her blue eyes darted over his form, seeing that he wasn't much of a threat, and then as quick as she had spun around and growled, her impassive demeanor returned and she sat without expression.

As quick as the female had spun around and flashed her sharp canines at Ruedi, he crouched down, ears flattened against his skull, his tail tucked in between his legs. Surely his heart was trying to pound out of his chest. He wasn't expecting to be snarled at for asking a simple question. Ruedi licked his lips and replied cautiously as the female stood over him with a dominant threatening posture. "I'm Ruedi," he replied with a slightly trembled chuckled abrupting from his throat, "I was hoping to join your humble pack."After the fae had relaxed, he slouched to onto his belly, his tail still tucked in beneath him, and he stared straight at her. He knew he was a stranger to her as she was to him, but he still knew his place in a pack.

As Ebony told her she was a descendant of Fenris, she want from just there, to confused. Ebony was a wonderful alpha, nothing like what Fenris must have been like. She thought for moment and was deciding to comfort Ebony by telling the truth and saying that she was a much better alpha then Fenris when Ruedi entered the camp.
When he spoke Koule felt her hackles start to rise slightly. This wolf was an intruder, and though she did not like fighting, she was still territorial. She jumped when Ebony rounded on him full force though. It must have had something to do with the fact that she had just been talking about Fenris and how they were related that made her so jumpy. She was happy to see her quickly relax and the intruder show he knew his place though.
Koule blinked when he asked to join the pack. This was just a very startling day. The beta was fighting his brother, Ebony was related to Fernis, and suddenly a wolf wanted to join in the middle of all this. Koule looked down at her pelt to make sure she was still a white Arctic wolf. She would not have been shocked if she had looked down and found out that she was now a Eastern wolf with a purple pelt color.
Shaking her head to clear it, Koule turned to her alpha. "Are we going to let him join, Ebony?" Koule had said we, but she said it to mean "Are you going to have it so everyone excepts him into this pack" since she knew it was the alpha's choice. She was using we as you might here of a king or queen say it.

The Fae stood for a moment, slightly flabbergasted at the straightforwardness of the wolf. She had never seen this wolf before, and he just thought he could pad into her territory and claim himself eligible? The Alpha growled lowly.
"How do I know you are a friend to us, and how do I know that you will be loyal?" her frozen orbs twitched from him to Koule, though she did not answer the Medic's comment for now. Are we going to let him join, indeed...?
She looked over him once more, taking everything in with her eyes like a cold drink of water in the desert. She silently inspected his legs, muscles, and claws, checked the way he held himself. But last she looked into his eyes, which were a pale blue.
"Very well, let us see what you are capable of." Ebony muttered. "There is a herd that gathers west of here in the forest. If you can bring something back worth while, then you will earn your spot in this pack."

Ruedi gave a toothy grin as he replied. "Well, for your information, miss alpha, believe it or not, I have been in a pack before and I have NO intentions of screwing things up. I'm pretty sure I won't be disloyal to an intimadating alpha."
He was trying to be flattery. He thought maybe it would help him get a place in the pack. Ruedi's grin slipped away slowly as he watched the female look over him with her cold eyes, his body grew tense. It kind of felt uncomfortable.
"Let's see what you are capable of."
Great. Now she wanted him to see what he could do. Alright, it made sense; if he wanted a place in this pack, she had a point, he had to prove him self. He stood tall but kept his tail adverted his tail rest on the side of his leg. Suddenly the words 'herd' and bring back something' had reached his ears. A hunt? Surely she had to be kidding. All Ruedi did in his last pack was watch little pups, but if he had to prove himself capable then he must do it.
Once again the smile had appeared onto his face once more. "Alright. I'll bring something back. You can consider it a date then when I get back," Ruedi had told her with a sarcastic chuckle in the end. He turned to walk off, but kept his eyes pierced onto the fae, just in case she attacked him for being so cocky.

Koule's hakles rose when he tried to sweet talk her alpha. Her moods changed with the winds, and in this case, new wolves. She was slightly frustrated now, for reasons unknow to her. She had learned to live with her mood swings. Koule nodded her approval when Ebony told the new wolf to go hunt. Koule streached her claws at his comment before he left, but made no comment herself. She glanced at her alpha. She disliked fighting, the only thing about her that never changed, but she would takle this cocky wolf if the alpha wanted. After all, he was looking at Ebony, not her.

Ebony grumbled unintelligible nothings under her breath as the wolf padded away. His cockiness struck a cord in her, causing her to be aggravated, though at the same time she respected that in a wolf. Perhaps he would find a spot in the pack after all.
The Alpha sighed, giving a side glance to Koule. "Well, then..." she murmured, for once at loss for words. "Where does that leave us now?" the Fae looked to the North, where the Amithyst tribe resided, and then she looked to the west, toward Lakota.
"I wonder what's happening to Tarak, right now. It can't be good." ((Sorry. My muse today is horrible.))
